Alexander McCall Smith Prize for Composition & the Clan Currie Composition Scholarship Prize

Updated: May 11, 2018

Back in October, James entered and won two Gàidhlig song-writing competitions run by The Clan Currie Society: the Alexander McCall-Smith Prize for Composition and the inaugural Clan Currie Composition Scholarship Prize. This means that James will be flying off to America next week to hear his piece played at the Pipes of Christmas concerts; annually described as one of NYC's Top Ten Holiday Events.

The news has been covered by The Herald, The National, The Scotsman and a few other papers and online publications. The press release can be read here.
